Newsar Mountain Rescue

I had the privilege of working with Newsar Mountain Rescue for a PR day to raise awareness about the vital work they do in keeping our mountain communities safe. As a passionate hiker, this project was especially meaningful to me, as it provided the opportunity to learn firsthand how mountain rescue teams prepare for and respond to various emergencies in the wilderness.
During the workshop, we were trained in essential rescue techniques, including cliff rescues, and gained a deeper understanding of the challenges mountain rescue teams face. This experience reinforced how critical safety is for anyone venturing into the mountains and how important it is to support these self-funded, volunteer-led organisations.
Through the content I created, I aimed to spread awareness not just about the importance of safety but also about the role of mountain rescue in our outdoor adventures. By sharing these insights, I hope to encourage others to be mindful of their own safety and support the incredible teams that risk their lives to help others in times of need. It’s an honour to help amplify the voices of these unsung heroes and highlight the essential work they do to keep us safe on the mountains.
